OEP — Omani Examination for Pharmacists
The Omani Examination for Pharmacists (OEP) is the national assessment used in the classification of pharmacists in Oman, overseen with the Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB) and the Ministry of Health. International candidates typically complete credential screening, sit the exam at a designated vendor (commonly Pearson VUE for OMSB allied exams), then finish MoH licensing with an Omani employer.

Eligibility
OMSB/MoH specify which pharmacy degrees and experience levels sit the pharmacist exam versus technician categories. Confirm your grade against the current Oman allied-health classification tables. Practising on a tourist visa is not a licensing pathway.
Credential Screening
Expect degree attestation, licence verification, and experience letters. Oman may use DataFlow or another listed verification route depending on the circular in force. Keep documents legalised as the Ministry currently requires.
OEP Exam Details
The OEP is a computer-based knowledge exam covering pharmaceutics, pharmacology, clinical pharmacy, calculations, and professional practice. Official domain weights, item counts, and passing scores are published in OMSB candidate materials for the pharmacist title — confirm the live blueprint rather than unofficial dumps.
Delivery is typically through Pearson VUE or the vendor named for that OMSB allied exam year.

After the OEP
A pass supports classification. The Ministry of Health and your employing facility complete licensing and residency/visa steps. Classification without an employer does not authorise independent practice.
