Egyptian Board — Application Support
Application Window
The 2026 foreign-doctor cohort is open. The Egyptian Health Council's announcement — فتح باب التقديم لدفعة البورد المصرى2026للأطباء الوافدين الغير مصريين — is dated 20 August 2026, and the enrolment portal at enroll.egyboard.ehc.gov.eg is accepting applications for the September 2026 cohort.
The Application Process
- Create an account using name, mobile and passport number
- The system issues a payment code
- Pay to activate the account and unlock the remaining forms
- Complete academic and personal data
- Upload documents
- Review and print the form
Your passport number is your username. A real mobile number is required — it is the only password-recovery route. Basic data cannot be changed after registration.
General Conditions
- Documents must be submitted within the announcement deadline
- If a discrepancy is proven between the certificate and the data registered, the applicant is excluded
- Registration is void if documents are unauthenticated or do not match the electronic record — and in all cases the registration fees are non-refundable
- Two specialties may be chosen, with priority to the first; if there is no training capacity in the first, the application transfers automatically to the second
- Applicants already on the training strength of any Egyptian Board specialty may not apply
- Transfer from a previous cohort to the current one is not permitted
- Acceptance depends on available training places across accredited centres in all governorates
Prerequisites Before Part 1
Two requirements that take time to obtain — plan for them at the start, not after acceptance:
- A TOEFL score of at least 500
- An ICDL certificate at Standard level
Egypt publishes a minimum TOEFL score of 500 — a score on the paper-based TOEFL test. Our prep course is for TOEFL iBT, the internet-based test. The study material covers the same English skills, and the same prep course serves both formats. Confirm with the Egyptian Health Council whether an iBT equivalent is accepted for your application.
Training Credit for a Master's
A maximum of one year of training may be credited to holders of a Master's degree in the same general specialty, provided the application is made within a maximum of 5 years of obtaining it or its Supreme Council equivalency, and provided the candidate still sits all prescribed examinations.
Fees
Non-Egyptian candidates:
| Exam | 1st attempt | 1st retake | 2nd retake | 3rd retake and after |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Theoretical exam (any part) | EGP 6,000 | EGP 8,000 | EGP 10,000 | EGP 12,000 |
| Part 3 (clinical) | EGP 10,000 | EGP 12,000 | EGP 14,000 | EGP 16,000 |
Egyptian candidates:
| Exam | 1st attempt | 1st retake | 2nd retake | 3rd retake and after |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Theoretical exam (any part) | EGP 1,500 | EGP 3,000 | EGP 6,000 | EGP 8,000 |
| Part 3 (clinical) | EGP 4,000 | EGP 6,000 | EGP 7,000 | EGP 9,000 |
Final Board certificate: Egyptian EGP 400 · non-Egyptian EGP 10,000.
The official framework does not itemise Part 1 and Part 2 fees separately. It uses a single line, "Theoretical Exam (Any Part)" — so EGP 6,000 is the fee for either written part.
Other costs: the portal registration fee is issued per applicant as a payment code and is not published. The annual training fee of EGP 1,200 per year after residence approval is candidate-reported. Degree equivalency is set by the Supreme Council of Universities and is not published.
Important Notes
- You have 15 days after results are announced to lodge a grievance.
- Residence approval is a separate step and can take from 3 months to 2 years or more.
- Candidate-reported but not officially confirmed: a temporary Ministry of Health licence renewed annually, malpractice insurance, medical clearance from the central laboratories, a 75% attendance minimum, JPEG-only document uploads, and payment via Fawry, Aman, Basita, OPay or Magic Pay.
