NPQE — National Pharmacist Qualifying Examination
The National Pharmacist Qualifying Examination (NPQE) is the pharmacist licensing exam used by Qatar’s Department of Healthcare Professions (DHP), Ministry of Public Health. It is delivered by Prometric. DataFlow (or another DHP-approved verification partner) is required, and a Qatari healthcare employer is typically needed before the licence is fully activated.

Eligibility
DHP publishes pharmacist scopes and qualification tables. You generally need a recognised BPharm/PharmD (or equivalent) and experience matching the registration grade. Pharmacy technicians follow a different exam. Confirm your title in the current DHP circular before paying Prometric.
Credential Verification
Qatar requires primary source verification of degree, licence, and experience. DataFlow is the usual vendor; follow the package DHP names in the current applicant instructions. Good-standing certificates often have short validity windows.
NPQE Exam Details
The NPQE is a computer-based Prometric test covering pharmaceutical sciences, clinical pharmacy, calculations, and professional practice as outlined by DHP. Confirm the live exam name/code, number of items, duration, and pass score on Prometric’s Qatar DHP list — titles are updated periodically.
The exam language is English unless DHP states otherwise for a specific category.

After the NPQE
A pass allows DHP to proceed with registration once the employing facility completes its steps. Visa and Ministry of Interior processes are separate from the professional licence.
