Jordanian Board — Family Medicine

Jordan for Family Physicians

The Jordanian Board in Family Medicine leads to certification through Part 1, Part 2 Written and Part 2 OSCE, on the same structure as every other Jordanian Board specialty.

Training duration in Jordan: 4 years. Confirmed directly on the Jordan Medical Council's published schedule of approved study and training durations, where Family Medicine appears as item 34: "طب الاسرة: اربع سنوات تدريبية" — Family Medicine: four training years.

The examination structure, attempts, validity and fees on the Application Support page apply identically across specialties: the JMC fee schedule does not differentiate by specialty, only by route and nationality.

Examination Structure

The shared structure applies in full:

Component Format Duration Pass mark
Part 1 100 MCQs 2 hours 60%
Part 2 Written 100 MCQs 2.5 hours — not separately confirmed 60%
Part 2 OSCE Clinical stations, 100 marks Not published 60%

Final Part 2 result: 60% written plus 40% OSCE, each component independently at 60% or above. Part 1 attempts: no published limit. Part 2: 5 attempts, then one year of additional training, then 3 more, then one further year of additional training, then 2 more, to a maximum of 10.

Sittings: Twice yearly. Exact dates are announced by the Jordan Medical Council per round. Check with the regulatory body for the current schedule.

Station count: set by the specialised examination committee for Family Medicine, not published centrally.

Content Blueprint

Not published / not found. The Jordan Medical Council publishes a blueprint for the Comprehensive Examination but not for Board specialty examinations. Any weighting we publish is an MCI Academy coverage guide.
