UAE for Dentists
The United Arab Emirates licenses internationally trained dentists through three separate health authorities: the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) for Dubai, the Department of Health (DOH) for Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, and the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) for the northern emirates. All three operate under a unified Professional Qualification Requirements (PQR) framework, but each authority has its own assessment vendor, application portal, and fee structure. There is currently no routine English language examination requirement for dentist licensure through the UAE authorities, although individual employers may have their own language requirements.
