Kuwait — Gastroenterology
Specialty Licensing Pathway
The official Ministry of Health and Prometric blueprint contains standalone specialist examinations for Internal Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Critical Care, Anesthesia and Dermatology — and no Gastroenterology examination. Gastroenterology content appears only as the 15-item Gastrointestinal Diseases section within the Internal Medicine specialist examination.
Until the pathway is confirmed by the Kuwait Ministry of Health, internationally trained Gastroenterology specialists should contact the Ministry directly.
Training Route
Not published. KIMS runs subspecialty fellowships, which under its Admission Policy are three-year programmes taken after residency board certification. It publishes no list of them, and no KIMS Gastroenterology programme or examination specification is published. No Hepatology or Transplant Hepatology route is published.
The Arab Board
The Arab Board runs a three-year Gastroenterology programme after Internal Medicine. Recognition is not an exam exemption — specialist classification is assessed case by case.
What we offer
MCI Academy has no Kuwait-specific Gastroenterology product, because Kuwait publishes no Gastroenterology examination. Gastroenterology preparation is offered through the Arab Board.
