KIMS Residency Track

The KIMS Obstetrics & Gynaecology residency lasts 5 years (PGY-1 to PGY-5). Program durations vary by specialty per KIMS Residency Training Bylaws.

  • Part 1 Exam: Written assessment at PGY-2. Candidates must successfully complete Part 1 requirements before progressing to the next stage of training.
  • Part 2 Final Exam (PGY-5): The final clinical assessment evaluates candidate competency through an Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) and a Structured Oral Examination (SOE) or viva panel. The exact number of stations, duration per station, and final weighting vary significantly by specialty. The number of permitted attempts is determined by the specialty's scientific committee and current KIMS regulations.

KIMS residency exam fees are handled internally by the KIMS Examination Office. First attempts are typically covered for sponsored residents. Out-of-pocket retake costs must be confirmed directly with KIMS.

What we offer

KIMS Part 1 and Part 2 question banks, plus OSCE station walkthroughs and SOE case scenarios for the final clinical examination.
