Bahrain for Internal Medicine Specialists
The NHRA Internal Medicine Specialist track allows foreign-trained internists to practice independently or within secondary and tertiary hospitals across the Kingdom of Bahrain. Certain Tier 1 and Tier 2 qualifications may qualify for exemption under the NHRA Physician Qualification Requirements (PQR). Confirmation should always be obtained directly from NHRA. Tier 3 qualifications require passing the NHRA Specialist Prometric Examination. Pathway Snapshot
Verify your credentials through DataFlow or Quadrabay, register on the Mehan portal, sit the 150-MCQ Prometric exam, secure hospital sponsorship through Munshaat, and receive your NHRA specialist license.
Complete Journey (Specialist Route): Medical Graduation → Specialty Qualification → DataFlow/Quadrabay PSV → Mehan Portal Application → NHRA Internal Medicine Prometric Exam → Munshaat Sponsorship → Mehan License Issuance → Specialist Practice.
